Stair Lifts vs Assisted Living

I got into a debate with someone from nursing home at the Abilities Expo in Schaumburg on Saturday. He complained that one of our Naperville stair lift clients was considering moving into his assisted living building until they rented one of our stair lifts. He said that our company made it too easy for people to continue living in their own homes. His argument was that the elderly that have trouble with stairs should move into his assisted living facility.
At StairLiftNOW and RampNOW, we believe that people that should be able to live in the familiar surroundings of their own homes as long as they want. The cost of renting or owning a stair lift is also much less expensive than a stay in a nursing home.
